Join the Society for our first meeting in a long while, on November 15th, at Ivy Hall, beginning at 7:00 PM, to discuss Chesterton's unique inter-weaved series of short novellas, Four Faultless Felons (1930). You can purchase a copy of this book in paperback from the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton. Alternatively, the book is available from Amazon in Kindle e-book, paperback, and hardcover formats; and free online via Project Gutenberg, as well. Note that this meeting will begin at 7:00 PM (rather than the old time of 6:30 PM) and last only an hour-and-a-half (rather than the old two hour timeframe), thus still ending at 8:30 PM. Additionally, while people are welcome to bring their own beverage and a snack of some sort, we will not be having pizza or communal drinks. We also will meet at smaller, separate tables—although still having one common discussion—in order to observe some amount of precaution and distancing, unless public health guidelines change in the interim such that these measures seem no longer necessary. Note, these measures are taken out of an abundance of caution and in order to try to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible, as well as out of respect for our hosts at Ivy Hall. As no general provender will be provided, there's no need to RSVP: just mark your calendar, and plan to join us!
We will take up a free will offering for Ivy Hall nonetheless, and we'd ask you to please be generous, as we really are blessed to have such a venue to host us, especially under the present circumstances!
