For our next meeting, on March 19th (The Solemnity of Saint Joseph), we will be reading Chesterton's powerful polemic, Eugenics and Other Evils. From ACS President Dale Ahlquist's intro to this work: The philosophy behind Eugenics is with us still. Generally speaking, all of the original arguments in favor of Eugenics have become the same arguments in favor of birth control, abortion, euthanasia, and even cloning. Some of our long-time members will remember that we've discussed this book once before, but like all of Chesterton's writings, it bears revisiting! You can read the book online for free here.
