Mentioned in this month's reading (St. Thomas Aquinas) is Chesterton's great friend and mentor, Father John O'Connor (the basis of Father Brown), and his translations of some of Saint Thomas's hymns.
These are hard to come by, but we did find one resource that has some of O'Connor's translations, not only of Aquinas's hymns, but of other medieval and Renaissance hymns, as well as some of Father O'Connor's own poetry set to music. We thought this would be of interest to Society members, and also just a neat resource for folks interested in old hymnals. It appears that whoever owned the hymnal here had a similar interest as we have, since all of O'Connor's contributions are checked off in the table of contents. Enjoy!
