.
Join us for our next meeting, at Ivy Hall on February 19th, which will be a special treat!

This is a particularly great meeting for new members, so if you have any friends to invite along, please bring them!
See below for details.

This month, we will be finishing the first book of the great Father Brown series, The Innocence of Father Brown, which we began in June of 2015.

Ways to read:
- You can purchase a collection of Father Brown.
- You can read the book online.
- Listen to a free audiobook.

The stories we will be reading from the collection for this month are:
  • The Honour of Israel Gow
  • The Wrong Shape
  • The Sins of Prince Saradine
  • The Hammer of God
  • The Eye of Apollo
  • The Sign of the Broken Sword
  • The Three Tools of Death

But, as we mentioned, this month we have a special treat planned!

Rather than our usual meeting of just a discussion of the work, we will begin this month with a screening in the ballroom of a film adaptation of the final Father Brown story in this collection, The Three Tools of Death.  [Click here to read a contemporary review.]

The film will be the 1974 production by ATV starring Kenneth More as Father Brown, and featuring James Hayter and John Flanagan and many other wonderful cast members.

And that's not all!

In addition to the popcorn provided, we will also have a door prize!

Attendees will have a chance to win copies of the full DVD collection of Kenneth More's Father Brown series, as well as a special DVD edition of The Honor of Israel Gow produced by EWTN.

This is a meeting you don't want to miss!
